Present at Interwire 2011

The Wire Association International (WAI), Inc., invites technical article authors to help define our technical program offerings for any of our upcoming Wire and Cable Technical Symposia by submitting an abstract. Our next event currently accepting abstracts is Interwire 2011 in Atlanta, May 2-5. For details, click here to view the Call for Papers for this conference.

Whatever your interest in the wire and cable industry, your contributions to our technical program are certain to be unique. And, we'd like you to share your expertise, your current research findings, and your viewpoint.

Choose from the many presentations that will be organized into theme sessions at the next event or consider presenting your research at an informal poster paper session.

Author benefits

By presenting your technical findings at a Wire Association International's Wire and Cable Technical Symposium you'll join a select group of authors whose contributions continue to uphold the WAI's standard of excellence. You will have an opportunity to increase your visibility and that of your company while you share your expertise with fellow industry professionals.

Accepted authors will be provided with complimentary meeting registration and a copy of the Conference Proceedings. Authors who submit their technical article in time for publication in the Conference Proceedings are eligible for WAI technical papers awards and for possible publication in a future issue of Wire Journal International.

Poster paper forum

WAI offers Poster Paper Forums as an alternative to its traditional technical paper presentations. Poster Paper Forums are scheduled into a two-hour format giving you ample time for informal discussion and the chance to exchange ideas about your current research projects.

Please note that while the work you describe in your Poster Paper need not be a completed research project, you should be prepared to describe the objectives, approach, problems, and progress of your project through a series of poster boards that depict the key aspects of your work.

Plan to be on hand throughout the forum to answer questions and to comment on the content of your findings.

General guidelines

Click here for an "Author's Guide" containing detailed instructions on how to prepare the paper and oral presentation. Only original papers not previously published will be accepted for Wire Association International paper awards and possible publication in Wire Journal International.

Commercialism
Papers must be free of commercialism. Trade names should be used only where their omission would misconstrue meaning.

SI (metric) units of measure
Be sure to include SI (metric) units of measure, with customary units where necessary, in your manuscript.

Copyright
The contact author is required to sign a copyright form before papers can be presented or published by WAI. All rights not used by WAI will be reassigned to the author upon request.

Abstract guidelines

In order for the Wire Association's Technical Papers Committee to assess properly the scope and content of your proposed technical article, please submit a 75-word abstract, typed in English. Authors will be notified of acceptance.
